This beautiful historic palace in downtown Mantua dates back to the 1500’s, and is representative of the Renaissance era, in all its architectural, pictorial and sculptural elements, from friezes, cornices to frescoes. In fact, for its artistic and historical value, it is listed and protected by the Italian Ministry for Heritage and Cultural Activities. It was built in the center of Mantua, in the third circle of the historic city, near the ancient route of the historic walls that no longer exist today. The area of the building is located outside the perimeter of the Parco del Mincio, while it is surveyed within the UNESCO perimeter. The building is in a trapezoidal plan and is distributed on a mezzanine floor and a noble floor, the first one. There is also a basement, used as a cellar and an attic. The building is accessible from a wide, through-vaulted entrance hall, where a staircase connects the mezzanine floor to the first floor. The staircase has characteristics dating back to the late Baroque Renaissance. On the mezzanine floor there are two main rooms: on the left three rooms with bathroom used as a study and on the right an apartment consisting of 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and three bedrooms. The rooms on the first floor, the noble floor, represent the main residence, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a library, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room and a bedroom for the service personnel with private bathroom. The interior spaces are charmingly decorated both on the mezzanine floor and on the first floor. The residential rooms are positioned mainly on the side of the facade, while the service and minor rooms are located on the inner side of the building, jutting out over the private courtyard, where there is a persimmon tree and picturesque ivy that covers the windows and surrounding masonry. The attic is eventually usable as an additional dwelling, since very spacious and with a height of 5 meters. The cellar occupies the entire extension of the building. It is sold unfurnished; there are still frescoes, decorations and two huge and scenic chandeliers.
