This splendid wine cellar that we offer for sale is located in Certaldo, just 40 km from Florence and Siena and about 10 km from San Gimignano, with direct access to the main road arteries, a strong point for facilitating product transport. We are located in the prestigious Chianti area, where the owner family began producing wine since the 1600s. The main grape variety grown is Sangiovese with plots of Alicante, Montepulciano and Petit Verdot. The company is divided into two distinct units, the registered office, where the historic winemaking cellar and the packaging and shipping plant are located. Work is also underway for the construction of the new 605 m2 cellar in the municipality of Montespertoli, as per the approved regional hall project and which will further increase productivity. The vineyards are located at a height that varies from 200 to 350 meters above sea level. The company directly transforms its grapes into various types of wine which is sold almost exclusively in bottles. The wine sector is the one that has the greatest influence on the company's gross salable production, in fact the company has taken steps in the last 4-5 years for the total renewal of the old vineyards by expanding the vine-growing area having purchased replanting rights already planted and ready to produce. The wines produced are the typical Tuscan ones, from Chianti and Chianti Riserva to the reds and whites of Tuscany as well as a prestigious red such as the Supertuscan and the Ice wines, which can be consumed cold. Many of the wines are present in some prestigious Italian and international guides, with scores of excellence. The company is oriented towards exports (80%) and is able to bottle over one million bottles a year. The annual production stands at 150,000 units. The olive grove consists of specialized plots. The company has been certified organic and is currently ISO 9001 certified. Machinery and equipment are included in the sale price. A partial sale or partnership is also considered.
