It’s wonderful to gather together on the wooden benches outside to soak up the view after a day skiing the same peaks. Inside, there’s a fairy-tale feel to the main living areas, with heavy rustic timbers and bright soft furnishings. A wide expanse of sofa seating affords everyone the chance to relax in front of the blazing wood fire, while the mezzanine level offers a quieter space in which to relax tucked under the wooden rafters. The rustic timbers continue through to the bedrooms, which have a serene and homely ambiance. The master suite offers beautiful views to La Saulire, while the family room includes bunks for the kids, and there are three further double rooms, accommodating up to twelve guests in all. After an exhilarating day on the slopes of Couchevel, you’ll love to return to the basement spa, where you can soak tired muscles in the indoor pool or give them some heat treatment in the sauna.
